I’m Tawnya, I live in the Midwest, USA. I am an illustration artist. My background is in psychology and I worked with vulnerable adults and crisis intervention for children for a non-profit within the school district. After a strategic plan, and trusting God, I left to create art in 2016. My creative dream began with my first gig in web graphic design; I dabbled in watercolors this same year. In 2017, I started to explore watercolors quite a bit more seriously. I entered a piece called “The Giant’s Candy Maker” in an online contest and won second place. That motivated me to continue exploring the medium. In 2018, a few of my pieces were published in “Drawn”, a compendium of up-and-coming artists. Like most artists, I sell prints. In 2023, I opened an Etsy shop to sell digital prints and license my work. In 2024, I set out on a new endeavor to create hand embroidery and cross stitch patterns and sell them under the name Cedar Cabin Designs. A lot of my previous work has been line and wash, but have recently
decided to work more with oil paint – it’s a great medium and the first
paint I was introduced to during college. My inspiration comes from my
faith and I hope my work is a light to those who need it. ❤ |
